Our client is a North American finance and accounting advisory firm that provides reporting, management accounting, tax, audit, and performance solutions. The company leverages technology and process efficiency to deliver accurate, transparent, and timely insights to clients.

This role was created to support growing project demands by centralizing drafting responsibilities and eliminating operational bottlenecks. The AutoCAD Specialist will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D architectural drafts and 3D mechanical/electrical models while maintaining drafting standards, ensuring accuracy, and meeting project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD expertise, excellent technical drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining precision and consistency.

Responsibilities

2D Architectural Drafting

• Create architectural and structural drawings, including landscape and plan views
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings
• Apply drafting standards for layers, line weights, dimensions, and annotations
• Prepare clear and accurate construction documentation based on project specifications

3D Mechanical & Electrical Modeling

• Develop accurate 3D models of machine components and basic MEP systems
• Convert engineering notes, sketches, and markups into detailed CAD models
• Generate technical views, exploded diagrams, and component callouts
• Support manufacturable and constructible design outputs

CAD Standards & Documentation Management

• Maintain CAD templates, layers, blocks, xrefs, and drafting standards
• Organize project files using proper version control and naming conventions
• Prepare drawing packages, title blocks, and sheet layouts for review and submission
• Ensure consistency across all drafting deliverables

Collaboration & Project Coordination

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements
• Incorporate revisions and feedback efficiently
• Document design changes and maintain revision records
• Provide regular project updates and proactively identify scheduling risks

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Perform quality checks for dimensional accuracy and specification compliance
• Validate drawings before submission to minimize rework
• Ensure deliverables meet drafting standards and client requirements
• Maintain high-quality technical outputs across multiple projects

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of professional AutoCAD experience
• Proven experience creating both 2D and 3D technical drawings
• Demonstrated portfolio of architectural and mechanical/electrical drafting projects
• Formal education in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field
• Experience interpreting technical specifications, markups, and engineering documentation
• Experience managing multiple drafting projects simultaneously
