Overview / Job Description

Catch Creation is a global eCommerce company that builds, manages, and scales online brands through innovation, customer-focused experiences, and data-driven strategies.

The Bookkeeper (Ecommerce) is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting across multiple eCommerce sales channels. This fully remote role involves bookkeeping, account reconciliation, inventory accounting, payroll support, and collaboration with management and external accounting partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Support payroll processing and expense tracking.
• Maintain organized financial documentation.

Account Reconciliation

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment processor accounts.
• Manage reconciliations across Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, and similar platforms.
• Track sales, refunds, chargebacks, processing fees, and taxes.

Inventory & Sales Accounting

• Record and reconcile inventory-related transactions.
• Monitor inventory costs and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Support accurate multi-channel sales accounting.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including:
  • Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow reports
• Assist with sales tax and VAT reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with management and external CPA to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience supporting eCommerce businesses is preferred.
• Experience working with U.S.-based companies is preferred.
• Experience handling high-volume financial transactions.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of multi-channel sales accounting.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and COGS tracking.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Technical Skills

• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
• Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, or similar eCommerce platforms.
• Experience using Stripe, PayPal, Gusto, Brex, or similar financial tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Education

• Bookkeeping certification or accounting coursework is considered an advantage.
