Role Overview

The Brand Manager will define how the company positions itself in the market, who it targets, and how it communicates its value across all customer touchpoints. This role sits at the intersection of customer insights, product positioning, and marketing execution, ensuring messaging is clear, differentiated, consistent, and conversion-focused.

This is not a traditional brand awareness role. • Define and refine ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
  • Segment customers based on value, behavior, and business needs.
  • Ensure marketing and messaging strategies are aligned with the highest-value customer segments.

Product & Category Positioning

  • Partner with merchandising teams to position key product categories effectively.
  • Improve product-level messaging and differentiation.
  • Support product launches with clear positioning and messaging strategies.

Channel Messaging Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with acquisition and marketing teams to shape campaign messaging.
  • Test and iterate positioning and messaging in-market.
  • Ensure consistency across advertising, website content, social media, and sales messaging.
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion through stronger messaging and positioning.

Reporting & Messaging Performance

  • Track and report on brand and messaging effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a messaging test backlog prioritized by impact and optimization opportunities.
  • Produce monthly VOC insight reports highlighting customer themes, objections, and language trends that inform messaging and positioning decisions.
