Under the supervision of the Head of Division, Library and Documentation, the Documentalist & Archivist shall coordinate and manage activities relating to all manual and electronic documentation in the Court’s Library. The incumbent shall ensure the safeguarding of the resources and that the lending of items strictly complies with rules and procedures. S/he shall provide support services to users to enable them to access material with ease and ensure a conducive environment for users.
– Assist the Library & Documentation in managing the entire records system of the Court.
– Process all archival access requests.
– Assist in organizing and enriching the Court’s documentary collection.
– Create and maintain comprehensive, accessible, retrievable electronic archives.
– Ensure the enrichment, accessibility, and integrity of the Court’s archives.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Library and Information Science, Documentation and Archiving or equivalent from a recognized University.
Experience
• Five (5) years of experience in library and documentation or library and archiving or similar support functions.
• Good knowledge of ECOWAS rules and regulations on the control and access to documentation, as well as meetings servicing.
• Proven knowledge in the management of library, documentation and archiving services.
• Proven experience in developing information tools on library collections and facilities.
• Proven knowledge in archiving and record retrieval.
• Proven knowledge of using modern archiving tools

Eligibility
• Must be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member State.
• Must not be more than 45 years of age at the time of recruitment. This does not apply to internal candidates.
