Overview / Job Description

A growing faith-based organization is seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of conferences, community events, live productions, and large-scale experiences. This fully remote role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality events while managing vendors, budgets, logistics, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate is an experienced event professional with exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering seamless live experiences. This is a high-impact role offering ownership of the organization’s expanding events program.

Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of conferences, community events, live productions, and special events
  • Develop and manage detailed event timelines, production schedules, and run-of-show documents
  • Ensure all event preparations are completed before each event
  • Oversee on-site event execution and serve as the primary point of accountability

Vendor & Venue Management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors and venue partnerships
  • Maintain vendor relationships and manage contracts, contacts, and deliverables
  • Ensure all production elements are confirmed and operational before each event

Budget & Logistics Management

  • Manage event budgets and monitor spending against approved allocations
  • Identify and communicate budget variances proactively
  • Coordinate event logistics, including equipment, staffing, materials, and on-site operations
  • Audit and maintain event assets to ensure readiness and accuracy

Internal Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align event timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
  • Provide regular event updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Prepare meeting agendas, event checklists, and planning documentation
  • Manage event-related communications and respond promptly to urgent matters

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive event documentation, including checklists, status reports, and post-event summaries
  • Complete weekly event reports and submit deliverables to leadership
  • Support organizational calendar management and long-term event planning

Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in event management, event production, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing conferences, community events, live productions, or similar large-scale events
  • Proven experience managing vendors and coordinating venues
  • Experience overseeing event budgets and logistics from planning through post-event reporting
  • Experience using project management tools and Google Workspace
  • Experience with event planning software preferred
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
