Sagan is recruiting on behalf of a U.S.-based outdoor living and residential construction company specializing in custom hardscape installations, pools, decking, pergolas, planters, stairs, and outdoor space transformations.

The Hardscape Design Drafter will be responsible for converting site measurements, Polycam scans, photos, video walkthroughs, and project requirements into accurate 2D design plans. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented drafting professional who can create client-ready conceptual layouts and construction-ready drawings while meeting fast project turnaround timelines.

Responsibilities

Design Drafting & Plan Development

• Create professional 2D hardscape and outdoor living plans based on project specifications.
• Produce client-ready conceptual layouts and presentation materials.
• Draft plans for pools, patios, walkways, decking, pergolas, planters, stairs, retaining features, and other hardscape elements.
• Develop accurate construction-ready drawings for residential outdoor projects.

Site Data Interpretation

• Convert Polycam scans, site measurements, photos, video walkthroughs, and Loom recordings into detailed design layouts.
• Interpret project information and translate it into clear drafting deliverables.
• Ensure plans accurately reflect site conditions and project requirements.

Project Coordination & Communication

• Review project details and identify missing information or clarification needs.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project requirements and revisions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project expectations are met.
• Proactively seek clarification when necessary to avoid drafting errors.

Quality Control & Revisions

• Maintain consistency and accuracy across all project deliverables.
• Assist with plan revisions and updates based on client feedback.
• Ensure deliverables meet company quality standards.
• Support rapid proposal development through timely plan production.

Time Management & Delivery

• Meet tight turnaround times, typically within 48–72 hours of receiving project information.
• Manage multiple drafting projects efficiently.
• Deliver high-quality work while working independently and under deadlines.

Requirements

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in hardscape drafting, landscape drafting, outdoor living design drafting, pool drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience creating professional 2D plans and layouts.
• Experience using CAD or drafting software to produce client-facing drawings.
• Experience interpreting measurements, site scans, photos, and video walkthroughs.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant hardscape, outdoor living, pool, or residential design projects.

• Knowledge of residential construction or landscape construction.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and project workflows.
