Overview / Job Description

micro1 is hiring a JavaScript Developer to contribute technical expertise toward training next-generation AI systems. This fully remote role involves building high-quality frontend solutions while helping improve how AI models learn, reason, and perform through real-world development knowledge. No prior AI experience is required.

The ideal candidate is an experienced frontend developer with strong JavaScript expertise, proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, and the ability to design scalable applications, optimize performance, and collaborate effectively within distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Design, develop, and optimize robust frontend applications using JavaScript
• Build scalable and maintainable user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
• Translate business requirements into intuitive and responsive web applications
• Implement frontend architecture and reusable components

Technical Leadership

• Lead frontend architecture decisions and development initiatives
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
• Advocate for clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Performance & Quality

• Troubleshoot complex frontend issues and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Optimize web application performance and responsiveness
• Ensure applications follow modern frontend standards and best practices
• Support continuous improvement of development workflows

Collaboration & Innovation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends
• Recommend innovative tools and practices to improve engineering efficiency

Requirements

Experience

• Mid-level or higher frontend development experience
• Extensive experience building sophisticated web applications with JavaScript
• Experience working with remote distributed teams
• Proven experience leading frontend development initiatives
• Experience mentoring or coaching developers (preferred)
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular
• Knowledge of state management libraries and tools
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture
• Expertise in responsive design principles
• Knowledge of web performance optimization
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and attention to code quality

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
