Overview / Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing design and construction-focused company specializing in luxury pools and high-end outdoor living environments. The organization prioritizes precision, structural accuracy, and real-world build feasibility over purely conceptual design work.

The Luxury Pool & Outdoor Living Designer will be responsible for creating detailed, construction-ready pool and landscape layouts and translating client requirements into accurate 3D designs using Structure Studios (Vip3D) or equivalent drafting tools.

This role requires strong technical drafting ability, spatial awareness, and a deep understanding of site constraints, measurements, and construction feasibility. The designer will work in a highly collaborative, real-time remote environment aligned with US Eastern Time working hours.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST

Responsibilities

Luxury Pool & Outdoor Living Design

• Create detailed, structurally accurate custom pool and outdoor living designs
• Develop layouts that align with real-world site dimensions and client specifications
• Translate conceptual requirements into build-ready design plans
• Ensure all designs are structurally sound and construction-feasible
• Maintain high precision in spatial planning and geometric accuracy

Technical Drafting & 3D Modeling

• Build detailed models using Structure Studios (Vip3D / Pool Studio)
• Transition architectural concepts into fully rendered outdoor environments
• Apply AutoCAD or SketchUp-level drafting precision for design accuracy
• Ensure consistency between technical drawings and 3D visual outputs
• Maintain alignment with property boundaries, setbacks, and site conditions

Site Analysis & Construction Awareness

• Evaluate property layouts, terrain conditions, and structural constraints
• Incorporate drainage, grading, and setback requirements into designs
• Identify and mitigate potential design or construction conflicts early
• Ensure all designs are feasible for real-world construction execution
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure design integrity

Real-Time Collaboration & Communication

• Work within a highly responsive, synchronous team environment
• Maintain full availability during 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST working hours
• Actively participate in real-time Microsoft Teams communication channel
• Respond to design feedback and revision requests within 1 hour
• Collaborate closely with onshore teams for rapid design iteration

Project Management & File Organization

• Manage design files, assets, and project directories with strict organization
• Maintain accurate version control for all design revisions
• Ensure no missing or misplaced design elements across projects
• Track progress across multiple design assignments
• Support smooth handoff between design and construction teams

Requirements

Experience

• Strong background in architectural drafting, landscape design, or construction-based design work
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar drafting tools (Required-level proficiency equivalent)
• Experience producing technical layouts with precise measurements and site accuracy
• Ability to quickly adapt to Structure Studios (Vip3D / Pool Studio) if not already experienced

Technical Skills

• Advanced drafting and spatial design capability
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp-level workflows
• Familiarity with Structure Studios (Vip3D) is highly preferred
• Understanding of construction-ready design principles
• Ability to interpret architectural plans, site maps, and property layouts
• Strong attention to measurement accuracy and structural detail
