This Remote Medical Biller and Coder role is focused on ensuring accurate and compliant medical billing processes that improve revenue cycle performance, reduce claim denials, and accelerate cash flow.

The position involves end-to-end responsibility for medical coding, claims submission, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up. The role is highly detail-oriented and compliance-driven, requiring strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems and payer regulations.

Responsibilities

Medical Coding & Claims Processing

• Review and accurately code medical records (CPT, ICD-10)
• Submit clean insurance claims
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all coding activities

Revenue Cycle Management

• Monitor accounts receivable (A/R)
• Follow up on unpaid or delayed claims
• Identify and resolve billing inefficiencies and revenue leakage

Denial Management & Compliance

• Investigate and resolve claim denials
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and healthcare regulations
• Maintain HIPAA and billing standards across all processes

Requirements

Experience

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding
• Experience working with EHR/EMR systems
• Familiarity with billing platforms, clearinghouses, and payer portals

Certifications

• CPC, CCS, or CCA certification required or strongly preferred
