Overview / Job Description

Somnia is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead the positioning, go-to-market strategy, and growth of DreamDEX, its decentralized trading platform. This fully remote role is responsible for defining DreamDEX’s market narrative, driving product adoption, leading launch strategies, and positioning the platform as the preferred on-chain trading venue for professional traders.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in product marketing, Web3, or consumer fintech/trading products, with a strong understanding of crypto-native communities, decentralized exchanges, derivatives, and retail trading. This is a high-impact, strategic role with significant ownership across product launches, growth initiatives, and market positioning.

Responsibilities

Product Positioning & Messaging

• Own the positioning, messaging, and overall narrative for DreamDEX
• Develop messaging tailored to retail traders, professional traders, and trading communities
• Communicate DreamDEX’s key differentiators, including CEX-grade execution, zero protocol fees, yield-bearing collateral, and native agent support
• Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, compelling marketing narratives

Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launches

• Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases
• Develop repeatable launch playbooks across marketing channels
• Measure post-launch performance and optimize future launch strategies
• Partner with Product teams to shape roadmaps using customer feedback and market insights

Competitive Intelligence & Market Research

• Monitor trends within on-chain derivatives, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and central limit order book (CLOB) ecosystems
• Analyze competitor positioning, market developments, and trader behavior
• Track community sentiment and market perception of DreamDEX
• Translate market intelligence into positioning strategies, product recommendations, and growth initiatives

Adoption, Growth & Retention

• Develop strategies to increase user acquisition, adoption, and retention
• Support community engagement through leaderboards, referral programs, rewards, and yield-based incentives
• Establish DreamDEX as the preferred platform for professional on-chain trading
• Create marketing assets including presentations, one-pagers, and sales enablement materials for business development initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Leadership teams
• Support market makers, institutional partners, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with effective marketing resources
• Contribute to strategic growth planning across the organization

Requirements

Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in product marketing or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Web3 or consumer fintech/trading products
• Experience marketing retail trading platforms or exchanges
• Proven experience leading end-to-end product launches with measurable results
• Experience defining product positioning and executing go-to-market strategies

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of on-chain trading, order books, derivatives, perpetual futures, and decentralized exchanges
• Deep knowledge of crypto-native communities, including X (Twitter), Discord, and Web3 ecosystems
• Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities
• Ability to simplify complex technical products into engaging messaging
• Strong analytical skills with experience measuring growth, adoption, and retention metrics
• Strategic thinking with excellent project management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with perpetual futures (perps), retail trading platforms, centralized exchanges (CEXs), or decentralized exchanges (DEXs)
• Experience marketing both consumer finance products and professional trading platforms
• Familiarity with Web3 rewards programs and tokenomics
• Existing network within crypto trading communities, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), or professional trading ecosystems
