This is a full-time remote Property Law Research Associate role supporting a US-based land services team. The position focuses heavily on researching property and land records, reviewing legal documents, analyzing ownership interests, and preparing structured reports for clients. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, capable of handling high-volume legal research tasks, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

Legal Research & Property Analysis

  • Research county and land records using online databases to verify ownership details and related interests
  • Review deeds, conveyance documents, and other legal instruments to analyze ownership structures
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or legal issues requiring escalation
  • Conduct document-level legal analysis with a high degree of accuracy

Reporting & Documentation

  • Synthesize legal research findings into clear, structured, client-ready reports
  • Prepare internal briefs and organized summaries of findings
  • Maintain accurate workpapers, citations, and document versions

Workflow & Task Management

  • Manage multiple active research assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain consistent quality and accuracy in high-volume document review environments
  • Work independently and asynchronously with US-based teams
  • Communicate findings, updates, and issues clearly in writing

Requirements:

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in legal support, legal research, or document-intensive legal work
  • Experience in civil law, immigration, compliance, or similar legal fields is acceptable
  • Proven ability to handle large volumes of legal documents accurately and efficiently
  • Experience working independently in remote or asynchronous environments

Legal Qualifications

  • Licensed attorney in home jurisdiction (Bar admission, OAB, LPC, IBP, or equivalent legal licensure)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of accuracy in legal document interpretation and analysis

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Comfortable managing digital documentation and legal research workflows

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience preparing legal reports, summaries, or case analyses
  • Background in contract review or research-intensive legal environments
  • Exposure to property law, title research, land records review, or real estate due diligence
  • Experience supporting US-based land, property management, or energy-related teams
  • Familiarity with energy, natural resources, or land services industries
