Overview / Job Description

A fast-growing fintech company is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to lead and expand its AI-driven quality assurance framework for a multi-tenant SaaS platform. This fully remote role is responsible for building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring platform reliability through both automated and manual QA processes.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Playwright, AI-powered testing tools, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CI/CD workflows, with experience testing scalable SaaS applications in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

AI-Augmented Testing

• Own and expand the Playwright-based end-to-end automation framework
• Implement AI-powered testing workflows using tools such as Claude and MCP
• Integrate and maintain Jira webhooks for automated Playwright test generation
• Continuously improve testing performance, reliability, and scalability

Test Execution & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute automated tests covering payment workflows, business rules, UI consistency, and edge cases
• Perform manual testing for tenant-specific workflows and application logic
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release validation
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across critical platform functionality

CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines across staging and UAT environments
• Maintain quality gates throughout deployment and release cycles
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed testing into development workflows

QA Leadership & Process Improvement

• Own the end-to-end QA process across the platform
• Establish QA documentation standards and testing best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve testing workflows and automation systems
• Promote continuous improvement in quality assurance processes

Test Data Management

• Manage multi-tenant test data architecture
• Ensure test data integrity, isolation, and consistency across environments
• Maintain accurate test cases throughout CI/CD workflows

Requirements

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• At least 1 year of experience with Playwright and AI-driven testing
• Experience testing multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered testing tools such as Claude, MCP, or similar technologies
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with Docker, API testing, and multi-environment deployments

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, Claude, and MCP
• Familiarity with Jira and the Atlassian ecosystem
• Strong understanding of automated and manual testing methodologies
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS testing and database management
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
