Overview / Job Description

Bamboo Works is hiring a React Developer to support a specialized business consultancy and software integration firm that builds automated business applications and cloud integrations for platforms such as Monday.com and Xero.

This is a full-time, fully remote role focused on enhancing an existing Monday.com Marketplace application rather than building a new product from scratch. The successful candidate will develop new features, improve existing functionality, build API integrations, and contribute to cloud-based application development. The ideal candidate is an experienced React developer who enjoys working with established codebases, modern cloud technologies, and scalable SaaS applications.

Responsibilities

Front-End Development

• Develop new features and enhancements for an existing Monday.com Marketplace application.
• Build responsive, scalable user interfaces using React.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Improve existing product functionality and user experience.

API & Systems Integration

• Build and maintain REST and GraphQL API integrations.
• Implement secure authentication workflows.
• Integrate third-party SaaS platforms, including Xero and other business applications.
• Ensure reliable communication between connected systems.

Cloud Infrastructure & Database Management

• Work within an AWS-hosted application environment.
• Develop and test applications using Docker workflows.
• Write and optimize queries for PostgreSQL databases.
• Support deployment and ongoing application maintenance.

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in Agile planning sessions, technical discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver product improvements.
• Communicate progress proactively and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Help optimize architecture and overall code quality.

Requirements

Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing applications with React.
• Experience working with existing software products and large codebases.
• Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience deploying or maintaining applications on AWS.
• Experience using Docker, Git, and PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).
