Overview / Job Description

Bamboo Works is hiring a React Developer to support a specialized business consultancy and software integration firm that builds cloud applications and workflow automations for platforms such as Monday.com and Xero.

This is a full-time remote role focused on enhancing an existing Monday.com Marketplace application rather than building a new product from scratch. The React Developer will develop new features, improve existing functionality, integrate third-party APIs, and contribute to cloud-based application development within a collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced React developer who can quickly understand an existing codebase, solve complex product challenges, and work independently with minimal onboarding.

Responsibilities

Front-End Development

• Develop new features and enhancements for an existing Monday.com Marketplace application.
• Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces using React.
• Write clean, reusable, and high-quality code.
• Improve existing functionality to accelerate the product roadmap.

API & System Integration

• Build and maintain REST and GraphQL API integrations.
• Implement secure authentication workflows.
• Integrate third-party business systems, including Xero and other SaaS platforms.

Cloud Infrastructure & Database Management

• Develop and maintain applications hosted on AWS.
• Work within Docker-based development environments.
• Write efficient PostgreSQL queries and support database operations.
• Assist with deployment and ongoing application maintenance.

Collaboration & Agile Development

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with developers on solution design and architecture.
• Communicate progress proactively and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

AI-Assisted Development

• Use AI tools responsibly to support research, prototyping, and productivity.
• Ensure all production code is thoroughly reviewed and validated using sound software engineering practices.
• Apply engineering judgment when developing customer-facing features and handling sensitive data.

Requirements

Experience

• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience contributing to existing software products and large codebases.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience using Docker and Git in commercial development.
• Experience deploying or maintaining applications on AWS infrastructure.
