The company is a fast-growing e-commerce business focused on creating exceptional online shopping experiences through innovation, automation, and scalable technology solutions.

The Senior Shopify Developer will be responsible for building, enhancing, and optimising the technical foundation of the company’s Shopify store. The role combines custom Shopify development, customer journey automation, third-party integrations, performance optimisation, and operational automation.

The successful candidate will work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to develop scalable e-commerce solutions, improve the customer experience, streamline operations, and reduce manual processes.

Responsibilities

Shopify Development & Customisation

• Develop custom Shopify features and functionality
• Build solutions using Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Customise and optimise Shopify themes
• Improve website performance and user experience
• Develop scalable Shopify solutions

Shopify APIs & Integrations

• Build and maintain integrations using Shopify APIs
• Work with the Shopify Admin API
• Implement and manage Shopify metafields
• Integrate third-party Shopify applications and services
• Maintain existing platform and application integrations

Customer Journey & Marketing Automation

• Implement customer journey automations
• Use Shopify Flow, Klaviyo, or other integrated platforms
• Develop automation workflows that improve the customer experience
• Support marketing and customer engagement initiatives through technical solutions

Performance & Technical Operations

• Optimise site performance, scalability, and reliability
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions
• Monitor and improve the technical health of the Shopify store
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams
• Deliver new e-commerce functionality and enhancements
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Communicate effectively with remote team members

Requirements

Experience

• 3+ years of professional Shopify development experience
• Strong experience developing and customising Shopify stores
• Experience working with Shopify APIs, Admin API, and metafields
• Experience customising Shopify themes
• Experience integrating third-party Shopify applications and services
• Experience building scalable Shopify solutions
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

Candidate Profile
