Overview / Job Description

Coalition Technologies is a fully remote digital marketing agency seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote SEO Specialist to develop and implement data-driven SEO strategies for client websites. The company has supported remote professionals for over a decade and offers a collaborative, growth-focused work environment.

The SEO Specialist will be responsible for conducting technical SEO audits, keyword research, content optimization, local SEO, AI-assisted SEO workflows, and website performance improvements. This role combines traditional SEO expertise with emerging AI-powered methodologies to improve search rankings, organic visibility, website performance, and user experience across a diverse portfolio of client websites.

Responsibilities

Technical SEO & Website Optimization

• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize website architecture, internal linking, title tags, meta descriptions, structured data, and XML/HTML sitemaps.
• Implement 301 redirects and improve website indexing.
• Collaborate on technical SEO enhancements, including schema markup and entity-based SEO.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, site speed, and overall website performance.

Keyword Research & Content Optimization

• Perform keyword research based on search intent, competition, SERP analysis, and growth opportunities.
• Develop keyword prioritization and topical authority strategies.
• Optimize website content using SEO best practices and AI-assisted workflows.
• Support content strategy development through data-driven recommendations.

AI-Assisted SEO & Research

• Research emerging AI search trends, algorithm updates, and SEO technologies.
• Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity to support SEO workflows.
• Test AI-driven automation, predictive SEO methodologies, and optimization techniques.
• Identify opportunities to scale SEO performance through AI-assisted research and analytics.

Local SEO & User Experience

• Develop and implement local SEO strategies.
• Analyze user behavior using heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and testing tools.
• Recommend improvements that enhance user experience, engagement, and conversion rates.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring

• Monitor SEO performance using industry-standard tools.
• Track rankings, competitive performance, and website health.
• Analyze technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay informed on industry trends and evolving search engine algorithms.

Requirements

Experience

• Experience performing technical SEO audits and implementing SEO improvements.
• Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted SEO strategies, keyword clustering, and content optimization.
• Experience using SEO crawling and auditing tools such as Screaming Frog.
• Experience with SEO platforms including Semrush, Ahrefs, WebCEO, or similar tools.
• Experience implementing local SEO strategies is preferred.
• Experience with schema markup, structured data, entity-based SEO, Core Web Vitals, and predictive SEO is an advantage.
• Experience with JavaScript, PHP, heatmap analysis, session recordings, or user testing tools is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Full-time.
• Monday–Friday.
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT).
