Overview / Job Description

The agency is seeking a senior SEO Strategist & Process Architect to combine advanced SEO strategy, process engineering, and AI-driven automation. This is not a purely executional SEO position; it is a hybrid role focused on SEO Strategy + Process Design + AI Search Integration.

Working directly with agency leadership, the SEO Strategist will evaluate existing SEO workflows, eliminate manual inefficiencies, and build scalable, repeatable processes. The role combines senior-level SEO expertise with AI tools and automation frameworks to improve delivery speed, efficiency, and organic search performance for clients.

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction across local, national, B2B, service, retail, and e-commerce SEO campaigns while helping develop efficient agency-wide systems.

Responsibilities

SEO Process Engineering & Workflow Automation

• Audit the agency’s existing SEO delivery processes
• Design and implement standardized SEO workflows
• Create efficient SOPs, templates, and repeatable processes
• Build automated workflows to increase execution speed and output quality
• Identify and eliminate manual inefficiencies in SEO delivery
• Develop scalable systems that improve agency-wide SEO operations

AI SEO Systemization

• Integrate AI tools into SEO workflows
• Use ChatGPT, Claude, Surfer SEO, and custom prompts to improve SEO execution
• Automate keyword research and content brief creation
• Use AI for technical SEO audits
• Automate schema generation and on-page optimisation workflows
• Work with automation webhooks and connected tools to streamline deliverables

Senior SEO Campaign Strategy

• Provide high-level SEO strategy for local, national, and e-commerce clients
• Develop strategies across B2B, service, retail, and local business sectors
• Align SEO campaigns with business growth objectives
• Focus on meaningful organic results rather than vanity metrics
• Act as a strategic thought partner to agency leadership

Technical & Entity Search Guidance

• Guide technical website architecture and SEO implementation
• Optimise websites for entity-based search
• Improve visibility in local map packs
• Optimise websites for AI discovery engines
• Provide SEO guidance across WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix

Performance Reporting & Refinement

• Develop streamlined SEO reporting frameworks
• Use SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console to monitor performance
• Track campaign results and demonstrate ROI
• Analyse SEO performance data
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Refine agency processes based on campaign performance

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience
• Experience building and leading SEO campaigns
• Experience across service, B2B, retail, or local business niches
• Proven ability to design and implement agency-level workflows
• Experience creating SEO templates and SOPs
• Experience using AI tools to improve SEO delivery
• Experience with SEO automation and workflow connectors
• Experience working independently during European business hours

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced SEO strategy and campaign management
