Overview / Job Description

Coalition Technologies is a fully remote digital marketing agency seeking a creative and detail-oriented Remote Web Designer / UI Designer to design custom websites, user interfaces, branding assets, and digital experiences for a wide range of clients. The company has supported remote professionals for over a decade and offers a collaborative, growth-focused work environment.

The Web Designer / UI Designer will create visually engaging and user-friendly website designs, wireframes, design systems, logos, and brand assets while collaborating closely with Digital Producers, developers, SEO specialists, copywriters, and clients. The role requires balancing creativity with usability, accessibility, and performance to deliver high-quality digital products that support client business objectives.

Responsibilities

UI/UX & Website Design

• Design custom website layouts, wireframes, and responsive user interfaces for desktop and mobile devices.
• Create unique logos, brand guides, and design systems from scratch.
• Develop website mockups and supporting visual assets based on client requirements.
• Design vector icons, illustrations, and other digital graphics.

Creative Strategy & Brand Development

• Translate creative briefs and client goals into compelling visual designs.
• Work with Digital Producers to develop design strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure visual consistency across branding and website projects.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

• Collaborate with developers, SEO specialists, copywriters, and project teams throughout the design process.
• Participate in client meetings and professionally present design concepts.
• Balance usability, accessibility, performance, and visual appeal when developing solutions.

Design Handoff & Quality Assurance

• Prepare organized, developer-ready design files for implementation.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while following Coalition Technologies’ design standards and methodologies.
• Maintain high-quality design deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Experience

• Strong experience designing websites and user interfaces.
• Demonstrated expertise using Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience creating wireframes, design systems, brand guides, and developer-ready design assets.
• Strong portfolio showcasing web design projects.
• Experience presenting design concepts to clients.
• Experience collaborating with developers and cross-functional project teams.
• Experience using Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience designing eCommerce websites, web application dashboards, and working with Basecamp or Google Docs is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Excellent visual design, branding, and typography skills.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards.
• Ability to balance usability, aesthetics, accessibility, and performance.

Technical Requirements

• Mastery of Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred.
• Reliable computer suitable for design work.
• Stable high-speed internet connection.
• Reliable power supply.
• Working microphone and speakers.
• Ability to work remotely using company collaboration and time-tracking tools.

Work Schedule

• Full-time.
• Monday–Friday.
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT).
